28th Aug 2018
What a day it was indeed! Some of the Gregsons Staff participated in the City to Surf 21km Half Marathon & 12km Run/Walk on Sunday 26th August which spanned from Perth City all the way to City Beach. Not only was it a beautiful day full of fun and laughter but it was also for a really good cause.
Chevron City to Surf is held annually to raise funds for the Activ Foundation. Activ is WA’s leading disability services provider, working with thousands of people and families living with disability each year. The Foundation provides employment opportunities as well as accommodation, respite, recreational activities and more to people living with disabilities. The foundation has been running in the community since 1951 and provide services in over 100 locations around Western Australia.
We were thrilled to be a part of the event where we got to see some of our staff members smash their PBs in their events. One in particular was Adam who ran 12km in 59:33 which was 5 minutes faster than his race in the HBF Run for a Reason.
The other team members enjoyed the stroll from Perth to City Beach taking in the beautiful weather and wonderful vistas along the way. Participating in the event was a great way to enjoy a Sunday and to raise money for such a great cause. We look forward to City to Surf in 2019!
