Your Guide To Selling At Gregsons

YOUR GUIDE TO SELLING WITH GREGSONS AUCTIONEERS & VALUERS

Since 1929, Gregsons Auctioneers & Valuers have been helping people just like you to dispose of items at our Perth auction houses. If you want to auction off your assets in Perth, take a look through our handy guide, then click on start selling – you’ll be earning before you know it! Whether you’re after an auctioneer to handle your machine sales, truck sales, or even the sale of your business if and when closing down, we’re equipped to help.

1. GETTING STARTED

The first step to get you started on your selling journey is to contact Gregsons Auctioneers & Valuers. You can reach us through the sell section on our website, or by calling our office on: (08) 9358 1766. In preparation for your meeting with us, make sure you:

– Have information on the type of items you wish to sell ready for us

– Any additional or special information about the items you want to sell

– A handful of images to help us get a feel for the volume and type of items you want to sell

– Your contact details

2. AUCTION ESTIMATE

Gregsons Auctioneers & Valuers’ specialist team will review your submitted information and provide you with an estimate of your item’s auction value. Our auctions estimates are supplied completely free of charge.

3. CONSIGNMENT

Gregsons Auctioneers & Valuers will then work with you to determine the sales terms, including the commission rate, fees, and reserve.

Once we have finalised all of your sales requirements our administration team will send you a ‘vendors details’ form to complete. This form will record all of your details in preparation for the auction.

4. CONSIGNMENT TERMS, FEES, AND COSTS

Every sale made at Gregsons Auctioneers & Valuers will incur a commission charge, which we determine at the above stage. Your items can either be sold from our auction house in Welshpool, or from your own property. At this point in time you will be advised of any fees associated with the auction site.

5. SELECTING AND CONDUCTING THE AUCTION

Once our auction agreement is in place, we will discuss auction dates and themes, to ensure you receive the strongest bidding result possible.

Our online and simulcast auction platforms will ensure your items can be offered for sale within a short timeframe. This way you’ll get your money quicker! After your auction date and type has been chosen, your items will be listed for sale on our database of more than 50,000 customers. This will happen within a seven-day period. They will either be listed for bidding, or live if offered at one of our simulcast auctions.

6. RELEASING YOUR PROPERTY

To maintain the security of all of our auctions, we will not release any items until the purchase price appears in our auction trust account.

7. RECEIVING PAYMENT

After the auction, Gregsons Auctioneers & Valuers will notify you (the seller) about the status of each lot that was for sale. Once the buyer’s payment has been received, we will pay the net proceeds (the hammer price, minus the vendor’s commission and any sales related expenses) to you ten days after the auction.

From start to finish, we’ll go above and beyond to make sure your auction experience is a successful one.
